Big Bang's seung ri is going to school with SNSD's Yuri (:

Big Bang's Seungri and SNSD's Yuri have both been accepted by Chung-Ang University and will start attending classes in 2010 as freshmen.

According to Chung-Ang University on the 29th, the two of them had beat out some tough competition to make it into the school. To be exact, a ratio of 23 to 1. Both of them will be majoring in theatre and acting.

Seungri had previously withdrawn from high school due to his activities with Big Bang, however last May, Seungri passed with a GED, better known as the 'Good Enough Diploma'. Yuri had also given up on her college education after high school in 2007. Both of them however had a change of heart after realizing that school is cool!

Boom Leaves for the army

On the 29th of October, Korean entertainer Boom (aka Lee Minho) was sent off to active duty by his Boom Academy students, Super Junior's Leeteuk and Eunhyuk.

Boom had this to say about his successors of the Boom Academy, "I'm thankful for Leeteuk and Eunhyuk seeing me off, and I await to see good things from the Boom Academy from the two while I'm gone." Leeteuk and Eunhyuk said, "We hope to keep the cheery and fighting spirit style that Boom has kept alive on Boom Academy." as the three shared a heartfelt hug.

Boom was also thankful for all the idol groups like 2PM, Super Junior, SHINee, SNSD, T-ara who called and asked, "Who's going to take care of all the idol groups?"

When asked who he wished came to see him off, he responded with "my girlfriend."

Boom then revealed he met his girlfriend the previous night:
"we traded gifts and letters. She also cried a lot, I tried to stop her from crying, but it didn't work. Also, I looked up on the internet what guys who leave for the military should do for their girlfriends prior to leaving. It said to never ask the girlfriend to wait, therefore I tried to be a man and told her to leave. But at the end I got on my knees and begged her to wait for me. She then helped me pack everything I needed.I hope to continue building our beautiful love."

He concluded by saying, "My parents are very sad that I'm leaving but I got to share a meal with my family and other relatives, sharing stories and having fun. Even my younger cousins wrote me letters and that was just absolutely adorable."

Good luck to Boom but even more luck to Leeteuk and Eunhyuk! It won't be easy to hold true to Boom's legacy! Boom will be released in 2011.

Kim: awww he just had to leave :( if you dont know who boom is he's this .... funny korean dude :( When i watch star king i would laugh cus he's the one who's always funny and acting retarded there (: in a good way ahha (: but now :( he left for military :( so sad rite? :( if he was leaving rite in front of me i would hold his leg haha (: and beg him not to go :(

SM's ''Dinosaur" Gang

Jonghyun of SHINee had recently posted a photo of him, f(x)'s Amber, and Super Junior's Donghae on his new me2DAY account.

Along with the photo, he had posted a comment, saying "Where am I?" stating that the 3 look very alike

Netizens have been saying that they have the same eyes, and overall face structure. They have also been saying that the 3 resembled dinosaurs, which gave them the nickname of "The SM Dinosaur Threesome".

I also think that the 3 look very similar in the photo, especially Amber and Jonghyun. Except Jonghyun looks slightly manlier.

After a long-winded assault case & hit-and-run controversy, Super Junior's Kangin's time in the limelight seemed to be coming to a close after SM Entertainment semi-resolved the issue with an activity ban for the rest of the year. However, since this Sunday (October 18), a photo that captures a drunken Kangin with a woman was discovered on someone's minihompy and has circulated various websites, garnering much attention.




To make matters worse, the woman who posted the photo on her minihompy had a few words to say about Kangin. "I was lucky [to meet him]~ He's fun, interesting, well-spoken ... drinks well ... [and] is handsome, but he needs to improve his language [and stop
swearing]. -_-"

Despite netizens' attempts to figure out the time frame in which this photo was taken, the exact date is unclear since it's gone through so many edits. Many believe that the photo was from over a year ago, judging from his build. The woman who posted the photo has received much flack for posting the image to the public during such a sensitive time; some netizens even went so far as to dig up her personal information and attack her.

In addition, this only served to fuel many netizens' disappointment in Kangin's tainted idol image. "He's an idol and his career is based on his image; why would he take such a photo? ... how can he recover from this?"

Other netizens defended Kangin, arguing, "[Kangin] just got a drink at a bar with a woman. What's wrong with that?" After all, Kangin is of legal drinking age.

Hopefully the hot reaction will cool down soon; even if fans & nonfans debate over this sensitive topic, their arguments & anger won't lead anywhere in the end.

Kim Bum's shocking transformation

Kim Bum has gone through a shocking transformation.

The Boys Over Flowers star will be in a movie called Emergency and has gone through a 180 degree image change. With half of his head in cornrows, rocking shiny blue jackets, and smokey eye-liner, Kim Bum is now officially bad ass. His role in the movie, a host, pleasing ladies every night.

The cornrow hair is often rocked by Korean R&B/hip hop singers these days, such as TOP and Taeyang from Big Bang and BoA. This style symbolizes the strong emotion of the person who wears it, and can make hip hop songs have a darker image. It is said that Kim Bum, who doesn't have a very "dark" style, captured this image very well in the movie, and many fans are waiting for it.

Emergency, directed by Park Jung Hoon, is to be a love story (I thought it was going be a gangster movie...) and is expected to be released this December.
